This policy describes the data processed by the Spider Solitaire mobile application and how it is used. Spider Solitaire is published by SASU JCAUDOUX, registered in France (SIRET 849 033 816), reachable at caudoux.apps@gmail.com.
Your games in progress, your saved games and your preferences (card theme, card spacing, etc.) are stored only on your device. They are never sent to our servers. Uninstalling the app deletes them.
Spider Solitaire does not require any account: we never ask for your name, email address or phone number.
Spider Solitaire is free and financed by advertising: banner ads and full-screen ads shown between games. These ads are provided by Google AdMob, which may collect technical data from your device (such as the advertising identifier on Android, IP address, device model and interactions with ads) in order to serve, measure and, depending on your region and settings, personalize ads, under its own privacy policy.
You can limit ad personalization at any time from your device settings: on Android, in Settings → Google → Ads (reset or delete your advertising ID); on iOS, in Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising. Spider Solitaire does not ask for permission to track you across other companies' apps and websites on iOS.
We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (services provided by Google) to understand overall app usage and detect crashes or technical errors. These tools collect technical and usage data (app version, device model, operating system, usage statistics, crash reports) that are not tied to your civil identity.
We also use Firebase App Check, which verifies that requests to our backend come from the genuine app, using the platform integrity services (Google Play Integrity on Android, Apple App Attest / DeviceCheck on iOS).
At startup, the app downloads its configuration (for example settings or links to our other games) from our Firebase server. This is a read-only request: no personal data is sent or stored.
If you contact us from the app, your email app opens with a message pre-filled with technical information about your device (model, brand, operating system version) to help us diagnose your issue. You can review or remove this information before sending. Your email and its content are only used to answer you.
The data described above may be processed by the following providers, each acting under its own privacy policy:
| Provider | Role | Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google Firebase | App configuration, usage statistics, crash diagnostics, app integrity (App Check) | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| Google AdMob | Banner and full-screen ads | policies.google.com/technologies/ads |
| Google Play | App distribution and integrity checks (Android) | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Apple App Store | App distribution and integrity checks (iOS) | apple.com/legal/privacy |
Since your games and settings never leave your device, we never retain them.
Diagnostic data (Firebase Analytics/Crashlytics/App Check) is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in maintaining, securing and improving the app, and retained according to Firebase's default retention periods (generally 14 months for analytics data, 90 days for crash reports).
Advertising data is processed by Google AdMob on the basis of your consent where required by law (for personalized ads), or of our legitimate interest in financing the free app (for non-personalized ads), and retained according to Google's own policies.
Emails you send us are kept for as long as needed to answer you and follow up on your request.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, portability and objection over your personal data, and the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
We do not store any personal data on our servers. Your games and settings stay on your device, and the statistics, crash reports and advertising data described above are collected and stored directly by Google, linked only to technical identifiers and never to your identity. We therefore have no way to identify you, nor to extract or delete data concerning you. You can, however, control this data yourself:
If you have emailed us, you can ask us to delete your messages at caudoux.apps@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr) or the data protection authority in your country of residence.
Spider Solitaire is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13, and the app never asks for any personal information.
Some of our providers (notably Google Firebase and Google AdMob) may process data outside the European Economic Area. These transfers are governed by the appropriate safeguards provided for by the GDPR, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
This policy may be updated to reflect the evolution of the app. The last update date is shown at the top of this page.
